Who is more concerned about Dad living alone, you or him? I think many times, we as adult children worry more about our parents living alone than they do. Sometimes that comes from us observing signs that maybe they shouldn't live alone, and sometimes it just comes from a broad concern that we feel responsible for what happens to them. Things to consider when your parent wants to live alone

The first thing you need to consider is what does you mom or dad want to do? Ultimately it is their decision! You need to respect what they want. Even though it may be against what you think is best, they are the decision makers. That is unless they have a physical or mental health condition that would impair their decision making ability. If this is the case, you would need documentation from their physicians that back up the diagnosis and the services of a lawyer. I hope and pray this is not your situation.
